Key features

• Improve Nutrient Holding Capacity: Biochar has a high cation exchange capacity (CEC), which helps to hold nutrients within the compost, preventing them from leaching away with water movement. This makes nutrients more available to plants for longer periods.
• Enhance Microbial Activity: Our Compost Mix provides a habitat for beneficial microorganisms. These microbes are essential for the breakdown of organic matter into nutrients that plants can use. The porous structure of our product provides protective sites for these microbes, which can enhance the composting process and improve the microbial life of the soil when applied.
• Improve Soil Structure: When combined with compost, biochar can help improve soil structure. It can reduce density, improve aeration and water infiltration, and help create a more favourable environment for root growth.
• Increase Water Retention: Biochar can significantly increase the water-holding capacity of the soil. When mixed with compost, which also has good water retention, the blend can help soils maintain moisture for longer periods, which is crucial for plant health, especially during dry spells.

This compost seamlessly integrates into your existing routine, allowing for straightforward application following your standard compost application instructions.

Postage and Packaging

Postage and packaging fees are set at £8.99 for items weighing up to 20kg. For every additional  20kg, an extra £8.99 will be charged. However, special promotions on delivery fees may supersede these rates.

We expect to send out orders within 5 business days of receiving them, and they should arrive within 2-3 business days, shipped via DPD. For orders exceeding 100 kg, shipping will be done on a pallet, using a 3-5 day economy delivery service.
