Pots, Containers & Hanging Baskets: Select a container with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Add a layer of grit at the bottom for better drainage, then fill with Multi-Purpose Biochar Compost enriched with Microorganisms. Plant your chosen plants, and water thoroughly to settle the compost around the roots. The biochar will help retain moisture, while the microorganisms support nutrient availability, reducing the need for frequent watering and enhancing plant resilience. 

Beds & Borders: Dig a hole twice the size of the plant’s root ball and partially fill with the enriched compost mix. Place the plant in the hole, backfill with additional compost, and gently compact around the base to secure it. Water well after planting to ensure the roots are surrounded by moisture, nutrients, and a healthy population of microorganisms that will continue to improve soil quality over time. 

Seedlings / Pricking Out: Once seedlings are large enough, carefully lift each by its leaves and gently loosen the roots from the soil. Replant them well-spaced in the enriched compost mix to allow room for growth and access to nutrients. The beneficial microorganisms in the compost help support young roots and enhance early-stage nutrient uptake, giving seedlings a strong start. 

Watering: Biochar and coir in the enriched compost naturally retain moisture, so reduce watering frequency. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to avoid overwatering, ensuring balanced moisture levels and an oxygen-rich environment where beneficial microorganisms can thrive.
